Every term the game uses, in plain language.
The day's set of six yes/no questions, published each morning and drawn from real news across six categories: Politics, Markets, Sports, Culture, Discovery and World. Everyone gets the same six. Answering all of them takes about two minutes. More on the daily format.
Your answer to one question — yes or no. There are no probabilities and no hedging: a call is a commitment, which is what makes being right worth something later.
The moment a question is settled against what actually happened. Every question must be resolvable against a documented real-world outcome before it's ever published — no opinions, nothing unfalsifiable. Most resolve the evening after they close; some take days, because the world takes days. Every verdict is published with its reasoning.
The 5 PM ET moment when the day's verdicts land and you find out how you did. It's the payoff the whole daily rhythm is built around — the reason to come back in the evening rather than just the morning.
Marking one call as your strongest of the day. A correct double down pays extra; a wrong one costs you. One per day, and choosing it is the most interesting decision in the two minutes — it forces you to rank your own confidence.
Consecutive days you've played the six. Streaks are the spine of the habit, and losing one stings — which is the point. A Streak Saver can rescue a missed day; players at CAPTAIN rank and above get one free every month.
The score and the in-game currency. Earned by showing up, being right, doubling down correctly, and winning weeks. Spendable only on cosmetics — avatars, banners, frames, crests. Coins cannot be bought with real money and cannot be cashed out. There is no payment path in the product at all.
The rank system: six ranks, ROOKIE → REGULAR → RIVAL → CAPTAIN → ORACLE → LEGEND. Lifetime coins fill the steps within a rank, but coins alone never promote you — deeds decide that. Reaching LEGEND earns real merch, free. Nobody has done it yet.
The checklist that gates each promotion. Every rank has four, and they're things you do rather than things you accumulate — reach a streak, win a weekly head-to-head, bring a friend who actually plays, top a group week, hold 60% accuracy over 50+ resolved calls. Deliberately social: the Ladder can't be climbed alone.
The core game shape. Every match is a weekly duel, Sunday to Saturday: most correct calls takes the week, ties are a real result, and there are no tiebreakers. Rivalry records build all-time, so beating the same person repeatedly means something. Groups and teams are the same idea at larger sizes.
Everyone else who answered the same question. After a question locks, you can see how the crowd split — and the best feeling in the game is being right when most of them weren't. Those are tracked separately and counted: your Against the Crowd tally.
A ten-second side game hidden behind the front-page headline: one question, read the crowd, take the coins. A second daily touch for people already in the habit.
Published weekly: how accurate the whole community was across the week's questions. It's our answer to a market price — a public measure of how often the crowd sees it coming. Read the current Index.
