Green Day's "Nimrods" soundtrack, released July 31, 2026 ahead of the band's tie-in film opening Aug. 14, did not debut in the Billboard 200's top 10 on the chart dated Aug. 15, 2026. The 30-track, two-LP collection paired 22 career-spanning Green Day songs -- including four previously unreleased live recordings from the Palladium and the new single "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P." -- with tracks from fictional in-film acts Analog Dogs, The Paradox and others featured in the movie. It arrived in a stacked release week: Ariana Grande's "petal" debuted at No. 1 with 295,000 equivalent album units, her biggest week of the 2020s, while Morgan Wallen's "I'm the Problem" and Olivia Rodrigo's "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love" held Nos. 2 and 3. Catalog staples such as Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and established sellers from Noah Kahan, Drake and Olivia Dean also outperformed the soundtrack that week, keeping it out of the top tier. Billboard's own recap of that week's chart highlights made no mention of the Nimrods soundtrack cracking the top 10.
