The domestic debut marked the franchise's lowest opening since "Insidious: Chapter 3" drew $22.7 million in 2015, and it came in well below its immediate predecessor, 2023's "The Red Door," which opened to $33 million. Made on a modest $18 million budget, the film is still expected to turn a profit despite the softer start, since horror titles typically carry lower production costs relative to their box-office returns.
